Kahawai means “carving the water.” In Hawaiian tradition, streams were carved from the mountains to nourish fishponds and crops, carrying life-giving nutrients downstream. Meet Scott

Aloha! I’m the Principal Consultant at Kahawai Consulting. My roots are in Hawaiʻi, and today I live and serve in California.

Success in an organization flows from the top down. Leadership, clarity, and growth are essential components for employees to feel engaged, empowered, and valued. For more than 20 years, I’ve helped organizations, from high-growth startups to Fortune 100 companies, unlock that potential by leading global talent teams, coaching executive leaders, and managing organizational turnarounds.

I hold a Master’s in Management & Leadership from Pepperdine’s Graziadio Business School and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. As a certified Birkman Consultant & Coach, I combine data-driven insights with a human-centered approach to bring clarity to talent challenges and design custom solutions that develop leaders, align teams, and build healthy organizations with lasting impact.
